A childhood friend from the hutong for twenty years, who managed to gain a foothold relying on financial relief and internal referrals from the male protagonist Lu Chuan, secretly took down the membership number of the company's stored-value card at their high school graduation ten-year reunion. Putting on airs, he lied that he had struck it rich and wanted to monopolize the exorbitant expense of 109,800 for the entire party, trying to use his buddy's money to prop up his own prestige and face. Lu Chuan added a consumption verification code to the account in advance, exposing his lie on the spot. But the matter did not end there; the enraged childhood friend teamed up with his supervisor to make things difficult and retaliate everywhere in the workplace. The two desperate men took risks with irregular operations on a major client's order, producing a large batch of misprinted gifts that nearly ruined the company.
