An injured vicious wolf is hunted by a hunter, runs into a farmhouse yard to beg an old man for help, and even speaks human words in bitter pleading. The old man is kind-hearted and moved with compassion, hides it from the hunting hunter, takes it in, and even gives the wolf food to eat. But a wolf's nature is hard to change; receiving the old man's grace not only knows no gratitude, but instead plots to harm its savior. It threatens the old man not to speak of it, and threatens to come again at dawn. Kind rescue brings inviting a wolf into the house; how is the old man to escape this mortal catastrophe?
