Su Ping, a top forestry student, made a decision that shocked everyone on the eve of his graduation: he gave up a lucrative job offer from a major company in the capital and a recommendation for postgraduate studies, choosing instead to return to the barren Wula Desert to plant trees. What seemed like an absurd return to his hometown was actually an astonishing plan to grow a fortune from trees.
