A torrential rainstorm and hail are forecast to arrive in just three hours, while 3,000 mu of ripe wheat is waiting to be harvested. Gao Zhenyu, who monopolizes all the town's large harvesting equipment, refuses to start his machines over one tiny corner missing from the village chief's thirtieth peeled sunflower seed. Zhao Dameng, a discharged armored vehicle mechanic, unexpectedly discovers the situation and unveils a homemade harvester he spent three years assembling from a scrapped mining truck and an old tractor. Now, he must race against the coming storm to save the entire village's food supply for the year.
