Ten years ago, Lu Yuan was treated as a discarded pawn by the Five Fortresses of the Inner City and exiled to the wasteland. The Lu family was annihilated, and his engagement was torn up. Ten years later, he returns from the wasteland as the young master of the Guixu Pavilion, gathering his six senior sisters and vowing revenge against the capital's financial conglomerates and powerful elites. He exposes scandals involving counterfeit medicine, polluted water, and grain hoarding, dismantles the Five Fortresses' conspiracies, and protects Su Mingtang, who has waited desperately for him for ten years. In the end, he seals the underground Mother Nest, overthrows the old order, and rebuilds fair rules for the capital. Yet an even greater crisis still awaits in the depths of the wasteland.
