Zhou Tieshao, a street-banquet chef, has his signature braised pork knuckle recipe coveted by contractor Lao Liu. Lao Liu wants to buy the formula at a low price to replace him as the head chef, but Zhou Tieshao indignantly sets up a food stall and conquers truck drivers with genuine skill. Lao Liu copies the formula, abuses chemical additives to host banquets, and crashes, then repeatedly resorts to sabotage by ruining ingredients, cutting off meat sources, waging vicious price wars, and even causing diners to be poisoned. Zhou Tieshao repays grievance with virtue to rescue the injured and cleverly turns difficulties around with new dishes.
