In a rural village in northern China during the 1970s, a little girl named Tang Bao, abandoned in the mountains and forests, is unexpectedly found and adopted by the kind-hearted Su Yulan and her family. With her innocent charm, cleverness, quick wit, and extraordinary good fortune, she gradually becomes part of the Su family and the apple of everyone's eye. She also helps transform this once-impoverished family, plagued by constant conflicts, into a united and prosperous household.
