On the day 1960s medical authority Jin Lingyue won the Nobel Prize, he was shot, and upon waking up, he has traveled through time to 2025. His daughter Jin Ruolan is already an elderly woman in a coma in bed, and the family business is beset with internal and external troubles. After waking his daughter and recognizing her, he faces a family of a rope of sand: President Jin Niannian is being used by others, and great-granddaughter Jin Tingting has given up on herself due to obesity. Jin Lingyue reorganizes family traditions with thunderous means, disciplining the unruly, scientifically losing weight, and exposing business conspiracies, leading the family from suspicion toward unity. Ultimately, he leads the entire family in developing anti-epidemic medicine, completing the heritage from 'regulating the family' to 'saving the world'.
