Lin Daye, an unemployed middle-aged man, runs a shabby food cart late at night, where he meets all kinds of night owls, including Su Qing, Zhao Feng, and Chen Mo. A bowl of hot soup not only soothes the diners' exhaustion and emotional breakdowns but also brings them together in a deep friendship. When he faces pressure from competitors and a shutdown crisis caused by aging equipment, his customers step up to help him through by purchasing meal vouchers in advance. In the end, the middle-aged man not only secures a permanent storefront but also welcomes a warm and wonderful new life alongside everyone through their ordinary struggles.
