Programmer Chen Bei has saved up two million yuan, but his fiancée, Su Man, pressures him into buying an old, run-down apartment. It belongs to her ex-boyfriend, Liu Zhen, who is simply waiting for Chen Bei to pay before breaking off the engagement. Suddenly, floating comments that only Chen Bei can see appear before his eyes, exposing the scam and predicting that the apartment will be demolished next month while a new housing development will become a construction failure. Chen Bei plays along with their scheme, watching his enemies dig their own graves. In the end, he makes several million yuan in pure profit but chooses not to deliver the final blow. Instead, he lives for himself, transforming from an honest, naive man into someone who sees things clearly.
