Zhao Lan, the owner of a convenience store, sets up a free childcare area to help look after the children of dual-income families in her residential community. Instead, Li Fang, a mother in the community, leads other mothers in falsely accusing her and demanding compensation. Zhao Lan is also besieged and boycotted, causing her business to plummet. After the childcare area closes, children in the community begin causing trouble everywhere, and the parents suffer the consequences of their own actions. One by one, they apologize. Li Fang reports Zhao Lan for food safety violations, only to be proven wrong, while her own household suffers a series of setbacks.
