Ruan Yang awakens to the plot and discovers she is the pretentious supporting actress in a wealthy family novel. To survive, she obediently cancels her engagement, fakes amnesia, and even rushes into blind dates to get married. But when she finally avoids all the bad plot points, she accidentally overhears his inner thoughts: Jiang Yanci never wanted to harm her; instead, when he was gravely ill, he left all his inheritance to her. The suppressed love in his eyes is more soul-stirring than the ending she avoided. Turns out, she can escape the script, but she cannot escape him.
