The saber-wielding swordsman Shen Gu pursued vengeance for seven years, slaying the Seven Wolves of the Northern Desert. Following the clue of his master's legacy scabbard, he broke into a dilapidated temple on a snowy mountain on a blizzard night. The old monk Huiji in the temple was the very person who collected the blades for the enemy back then. After a fight with a dust whisk against a saber, the truth unraveled layer by layer: his master had killed the wrong person back then, and the Seven Wolves hunted down his master simply for a scroll of scriptures recording vital pressure points. Huiji presented him with Buddhist prayer beads, guiding him to the Ghost Island of the South China Sea to find the grandmaster of the Seven Wolves. Shen Gu headed south, confronted, let go, and then headed north back to the temple, sheathing his saber.
