Xu Shichu unexpectedly arrives thirteen years later, possessing five grown sons. Upon seeing her biological sons, she can know their respective situations; she saves her plotted-against second son Xu Jingheng at a banquet, and recognizes back her rebellious youngest son Jiang Xingsi. Through identification, the hard-pressed Jiang Yan is precisely her separated eldest son. She deals with the harassment from the Lu family and her younger sister Xu Man, perseveres in scientific research, and searches everywhere for the remaining two sons. Her husband Jiang Li returns after a long absence, and past misunderstandings stir up quite a few storms related to their family background.
