The Rules of the Domestic Service Platform tells the story of the struggle between Anxin Daojia, led by Zhou Jinghua, and Yuejia, a high-paying platform. Yuejia attracts domestic workers such as Liu Chunmei to switch platforms with promises of earning 320 yuan a day, but conceals a series of rules, including platform commissions, equipment fees, deductions for consumables, a seven-day observation period, and end-of-month settlements. He Yujuan works overtime because a client adds extra tasks, only to have money deducted from her pay. Luo Xiaolan pushes herself to complete more orders at the expense of her health, while Jiang Xiuzhen calculates her earnings after five days and discovers that she has actually earned only 15 yuan more. When He Yujuan collapses while working on an order with incomplete labels and an unclear working environment, Liu Chunmei finally awakens to the truth and leads the others in checking every transaction and preserving evidence, forcing Fang Lan, a representative of the platform, to intervene and implement reforms.
