Shen Yanyao has practiced cultivation under his master on Mount Yuchen since childhood and possesses peerless abilities. At the age of twenty, his master gives him a marriage contract and orders him down the mountain to fulfill the engagement. Upon arriving in the city, everyone regards him as a country bumpkin. His fiancée, Ruan Xingmei, the CEO of the Ruan family, finds him utterly disagreeable, puts him in a storage room, and demands exorbitant rent in an attempt to drive him away. Shen Yanyao uses his extraordinary skills to make a living and befriends a group of outstanding people. As they spend time together, Ruan Xingmei gradually falls for him but refuses to admit it. Only when Shen Yanyao's true identity is revealed does she realize that the so-called country bumpkin before her is actually a peerless master.
