To raise money for her younger brother's surgery, Li Jiayi resents Zhou Zheng for deducting 20 yuan from her daily wages and switches to Wang Hu, who promises higher pay. After enjoying the initial benefits of a higher salary, she falls ill from exposure to hazardous glue, has her wages withheld, and is lured into a dangerous dinner gathering. Just when she is in grave danger, Zhou Zheng arrives to rescue her. After returning to the construction crew, Jiayi and Zhou Zheng visit exploited workers and gather evidence, standing firm against retaliation from Wang Hu and his powerful backer, Mr. Zhao. Together, they expose the human trafficking crimes behind an illegal labor agency. As their misunderstanding turns into love, the two establish a legitimate labor dispatch company to protect the wages and safety of more migrant workers.
