Meng Yuan, a modern-day college student, travels to the dynasty of Xie Hui, an emperor notorious in history as a young tyrant. He is handsome but behaves outrageously. Meng Yuan can only return home if she wins his love and turns him into a wise ruler. Over three years, she becomes adept at taming her husband: raising Xie Hui feels like looking after a baby, and reviewing memorials feels like doing homework. The night she is told her mission is complete, Meng Yuan breathes a sigh of relief. At last, she can go home and drink all the milk tea she wants. But after she leaves, Xie Hui goes mad! When they meet again, Meng Yuan has lost her memory. Frightened by him, she keeps backing away. “Who are you?” Stroking her face, he smiles with reddened eyes. “I’m the dog you raised and tamed.”
