Li Xuan, a transmigrator, joins the Alchemy Peak of Qingyun Sect with his Innate Alchemy Body and his cheat-like treasure, the Creation Cauldron, becoming the personal disciple of Peak Master Su Wanqing. He originally intended to cultivate immortality quietly, but soon discovers that the pills refined by the Creation Cauldron frequently undergo mutations. A Vajra Pill, which is supposed to strengthen the body, unexpectedly possesses spatial laws. After swallowing it, one can tear open the void and summon an ancient, two-zhang-tall Vajra Ape. Using his shrewd merchant's instincts and shameless sophistry, Li Xuan markets mutated defective pills as heaven-defying divine medicines, selling one to the nouveau riche disciple Qian Duoduo for the exorbitant price of one hundred spirit stones. He also recruits his internet-addicted senior sister, Leng Yuehan, as his experimental pill tester and promotional spokesperson.
