The former Great Sage Who Pacifies Heaven, the Bull Demon King, accepted the Heavenly Court's offer of amnesty in exchange for his family's safety, becoming an officially appointed demon immortal within the celestial bureaucracy. His son, Red Boy, also earned the Buddhist title of Wealth Boy under Guanyin during the Journey to the West. However, their peaceful life is shattered when Red Boy develops a mysterious illness. The sacred Buddhist divinity within his body violently clashes with the Rakshasa bloodline inherited from his mother, Princess Iron Fan, leaving his life hanging by a thread. To save his beloved son, the Bull Demon King dons his immortal robes once more and rushes to the Heavenly Court for help. The powerful and influential Star Lord Tianshu offers his assistance, revealing that only by gathering the scattered Nine-Aperture Heavenly Heart Stones from across the Three Realms and setting up a great formation can Red Boy be saved.
