Eleven-year-old Shen Xiaoman lives in poverty but remains kind and self-respecting. By chance, he meets Chen Dayong, the owner of a scrap yard, and receives an old toy fire truck. Two tough-talking but soft-hearted people gradually go from testing each other to relying on one another, bringing light into each other's lives as they face the challenges of growing up. Years later, Xiaoman finally puts on a firefighter's uniform and rushes to a real rescue scene. The little truck that always veers off course has witnessed his journey toward his dream through hard work, courage, and responsibility, as well as the warm family bond between two people who are not related by blood but are closer than family.
