Xu Cheng, the owner of a hardware store, has always been the family's fallback plan. Whenever his younger brother wants to buy a car, loses his job, buys a house, renovates it, or gets married, their mother always asks Xu Cheng to help out a little more. But when his younger brother's wedding requires him to mortgage the store he has run for twelve years, Xu Cheng refuses for the first time.
