Lin Yanzhou, known throughout Beihai's medical community as a master physician of traditional Chinese medicine, has mastered the long-lost Thirteen Ghost Gate Needles. After earning 30 million yuan in revenue for Huichun Hall, he is cheated by its greedy and deceitful owner, Wang Defa, who breaks their agreement and pays him only 3,000 yuan. Calm, loyal, and deeply devoted to his principles, Lin Yanzhou catches the attention of Su Qingyao, president of the Su Medical Group and head of a leading pharmaceutical family, as well as Jiang Qingxue, the heiress of the Jiang family in Yuncheng, when he falls on hard times. Despite their admiration, he remains true to his original mission of healing and helping the world. He turns down a consultant position with an annual salary worth hundreds of millions and independently establishes Jishi Hall.
