Campus belle Jiang Wan is dumped by her online dating partner Zhou Qin. She calmly registers for the A University School of Computer Science, only to discover that the gaming god who stood up for her is none other than Pei Jiayan, the legendary senior at the school. From military training mishaps and boba shop pick-up line blocks to identity exposure at the VR arcade, he uses wave after wave of casual favoritism to protect her from behind. Amidst online spectatorship and endless entanglements with her ex-boyfriend, she remains clear-headed and composed throughout. In the end, she dares to admit her heartbeat, and he confesses that he has liked her all along.
