After three years away, Chen Nian drives home alone. Through hot water, thoughtful reminders, folk songs, and heartfelt warmth, they help her endure a freezing night on an icy mountain road. Along the way, Chen Nian gathers little fragments of kindness from strangers, gradually letting go of her emotional burdens. She finally makes it home and reconciles with her mother. During the Lunar New Year, she revisits everyone who helped her along the journey and treasures all the keepsakes they gave her. Inspired by these tokens of warmth, musician A Bin writes a song, weaving together countless small acts of kindness from strangers to create a tender picture of what makes a place feel like home.
