Su Qiuyu, who is in the late stages of stomach cancer, takes out a loan from loan sharks to cover treatment costs for her deafblind daughter, Su Nuannuan. She gives up her own treatment because she can no longer afford it and eventually dies under pressure from debt collectors, leaving Nuannuan alone to face a desperate situation. Lu Siming, freshly released from prison, is ordered by mob boss Chen Shanhe to collect Su Qiuyu's debt. However, he unexpectedly encounters Nuannuan, who has no one to turn to. Initially impatient with her, Lu Siming gradually develops a desire to protect her and takes care of her along the way, only to become entangled in the Chen family's secrets. Chen Shanhe intends to sell Nuannuan's heart to settle the debt, while Chen Yunzhou, the heir to the Chen Group, turns out to be Nuannuan's biological father. Thus begins a redemptive journey that transcends old grudges.
