Chen Canghai is reborn in 1983 and breaks free from the shackles of foolish filial piety that bound him in his previous life. He refuses to keep subsidizing his biased mother and his ne'er-do-well younger brother. With his awakened dragon abilities—Dragon Hearing, Dragon Sense, Dragon Breath, and Dragon Strength—he makes a living fishing and gathering seafood to support his family. He protects his wife, Zhao Chunlan, and their children. After splitting from the family and becoming independent, he repairs and purchases boats to build the Great Full. While developing his fishing business, he fights back against his family's exploitation and unscrupulous merchants, leading his whole family toward a new life.
