Lin Wan, a young woman from White Tiger Village, unexpectedly encounters a white cat and names it Zhaocai. To her surprise, the cat is actually the divine beast White Tiger, sealed inside a piece of jade! Zhao Hu, a village thug, takes an interest in Lin Wan's beauty and the jade around her cat's neck, and tries to force her into marrying him. With Lin Wan in danger, Zhaocai takes her place and marries into the Zhao family, enduring humiliation while waiting for the right opportunity. Eventually, Zhaocai breaks the seal and reveals its true form as the White Tiger, punishes the villains, and safely protects Lin Wan on her journey home.
