With a single order, Chen Bei took on the perilous task of escorting female dependents to the Northern Barbarians. Halfway through, they encountered a snow tornado, and the escort team was almost completely wiped out. With advance and retreat both being dead ends, he led the survivors to flee into a deep mountain secret realm, where there are beasts and unknown ancient ruins. Chen Bei established iron laws, leading everyone to reclaim wasteland and store grain, make salt and practice martial arts, building a utopian haven amidst chaotic times. But the richness of the secret realm attracted covetous eyes from all sides, and the iron cavalry of the Northern Barbarians pressed on the border. After all, the seclusion place could not escape the disputes of the chaotic times.
