Shen Yan is an outer sect slacker of the Qingyun Sect at the fourth layer of Qi Refining, who can neither grind nor lie flat. The sect leader shoves a gold-stamped invitation letter into his hands, as Fairy Cangwu of the Tianji Pavilion has specifically named him for a blind date, and the entire sect is waiting to watch him make a fool of himself. After keeping the appointment, he discovers that this fairy, who with a single word can turn back a million demon soldiers and wields the karma of the three realms, is none of other than the Heavenly Dao herself. For tens of millions of years, the only person outside of fate she could never calculate is precisely this humble Qi Refining fourth-layer cultivator like him.
