Zhang Qingfeng, the senior disciple of the Divine Sword Sect, was ambushed by his fiancée Ye Qingcheng nine years ago and poisoned with a deadly toxin. Fortunately, he was saved when Xuan Li, the Demon Realm's princess, sacrificed herself for him. Ye Qingcheng, however, defected to the Temple of the Gods and spread rumors that caused him to lose all his cultivation and retreat into seclusion for nine years. Xuan Li raised their young daughter, Zhang Tianyue, alone. Under pressure from the Demon Realm, she brought her daughter up the mountain to entrust her to her father. When Zhang Qingfeng finally emerged from seclusion, he recognized his daughter at first sight and stormed into the Demon Realm to bring Xuan Li back. On their wedding day, Bai Xiaosheng publicly exposed the conspiracy of the past, while the Ancestral God of the Temple of the Gods quietly opened his eyes in the shadows.
