Shen Zhiyi of Tiansheng Group has sponsored Lin Xiaoxiao, a girl from a poor mountain village, for twelve years, supporting her education and even inviting her to live in her home. But Lin Xiaoxiao repays this kindness with betrayal. She secretly wears Shen Zhiyi's expensive clothes, spends beyond her means, and impersonates her in public, passing off her benefactor as a household servant. She even brings friends into Shen Zhiyi's bedroom whenever she pleases. Shen Zhiyi does not confront her immediately, choosing instead to quietly observe her decisions. Sun Hao, the man Lin Xiaoxiao is desperate to attach herself to, has fabricated his own identity as well. Eventually, their lies will be exposed.
