The Great Sage was framed by the forces operating behind the Journey to the West, causing his true body to suffer a calamity and fall into the mortal world. At his most desperate moment, his master, Patriarch Bodhi, intervened to save him, rebuilt his body, concealed his true identity, and gave him a new name: Sun Yuan. Returning in secret, he lay low and bided his time. To rescue the people of Flower-Fruit Mountain from danger, he ventured into the mortal realm, gathered his former allies, and gradually uncovered the long-buried secrets behind the Three Realms. With the help of his fellow cultivators, he overcame one obstacle after another, saw through the illusions clouding his heart, and ultimately reclaimed the glory of the Great Sage. Protecting the peace of Flower-Fruit Mountain, he forged his own path to enlightenment.
