After internal turmoil within the sect, the odd-job worker Shen Qinghe secluded himself to guard the withered wood forest in the back mountain. Endowed with the Myriad Woods Rejuvenating Heart, he meticulously nurtured the Fusang divine tree. Over a century of time, the desolate mountain revived, yet it attracted the sect's covetous desires and the calamity of the wood-devouring demon clan. Accompanied by the nine-tailed spirit fox Xiaoxue, he traveled across perilous realms to gather the divine leaves, fighting against the devouring demonic arts with the Dao of protection. Ultimately, he attained enlightenment through Fusang, seeking no power or position, and remained the forest keeper of that mountain forest as before.
