Shen Chen binds with a savior system and time-travels to the Great Zhou Dynasty. Using modern technology and knowledge, he builds a stable and prosperous mountain stronghold and becomes its chieftain. While hunting in the back mountains, Shen Chen rescues Great Zhou Princess Li Xiyue, who is being chased by Tujue, and forces her to stay as his bandit chieftain's wife. Li Xiyue hides her identity and goes undercover, gradually falling for Shen Chen. To find his daughter, the Great Zhou Emperor Li Cheng personally leads high-ranking officials to raid the stronghold in disguise, only to be captured by Shen Chen instead. Li Cheng hides his identity and discusses the state of the world with Shen Chen, who bluntly states that the Great Zhou is about to perish and invites him to plot a grand enterprise together. Using the "Death-Immunity Token Wine" to fish-trap and eliminate corrupt officials, and using purified mineral salt and high-yield crops to win over the hearts of the people, Shen Chen accidentally resolves the near-collapse crisis for the Great Zhou.
