After returning from ten years of suppressing demons, Yun Zhaoxue, the Sect Leader of the Xuanji Sword Sect, discovers that Yun Cheng, the young master whom everyone believes to be her biological son, is an impostor, while her real son, A Chi, has been reduced to a menial worker in the medicine hall. Rather than expose the truth immediately, she takes A Chi as her personal disciple, secretly protecting and nurturing him. As A Chi gradually grows stronger, conspiracies within the sect, demonic infiltration, and the truth about his identity that was buried ten years ago begin to surface. In the end, mother and son join forces to destroy the schemes of Su Wantang and others. When news arrives of demonic disturbances along the Northern Wilderness border, Yun Zhaoxue decides to lead another expedition. Unwilling to let his mother face danger alone, Yun Chi volunteers to accompany her.
