Hua Xia, the prettiest girl in Peach Blossom Village, eagerly wants to marry a noble and live a good life. In the peach forest, she picks up a blood-soaked youth, originally intending to wait for him to wake up and demand a reward for saving him, but unexpected to her, he is penniless and turns out to be Pei Yu, a disciple of the Tianyan Sect who has lost all spiritual power. One is spoiled and fond of money, the other is cold and rigid; from mutual disdain, the two walk toward fighting demons side by side, experiencing strange events in the marquis's estate and trials of inner demons, gradually falling for each other. But once the mystery of Hua Xia's parentage is uncovered, old grievances spanning time and space follow, and whether this bickering couple can protect each other remains to be seen.
