Lin Che, an aquaculture farmer, uses self-developed technology to raise healthy crayfish. Zhao Dashan and Zhao Hu, fellow villagers who want to seize his farming techniques and the profits from his ponds, secretly cut off the water supply to his crayfish ponds in the middle of the night, forcing him to sign an agreement transferring the operation to joint cultivation. Lin Che refuses to compromise and urgently arranges refrigerated trucks to transport his high-quality breeding crayfish to safety. Zhao Dashan and his associates secretly purchase inferior crayfish juveniles without quarantine inspection and release them into ponds throughout the village, ultimately causing widespread crayfish deaths and enormous losses for the villagers. At first, the villagers come to Lin Che's door to demand that he take responsibility. But when evidence such as account books and recordings comes to light, the truth is revealed. The twenty-seven village households abandon their bad practices and follow Lin Che in rebuilding their ponds according to regulations.
