A modern student from another world unexpectedly becomes Emperor Tianqi of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Youxiao. Knowing that the dynasty is plagued by endless factional strife within and powerful enemies surrounding it from without, I must never repeat the mistakes of the past! I cast aside my idleness, take control of power, reform the court and clean up officialdom to bring clarity to the government. I protect the people, strengthen the border defenses, and keep the realm safe. Posterity may judge my merits and faults; protecting the Great Ming is my lifelong wish! With strategy, I determine the fate of the realm; with resolve, I turn the tide. I shall reverse the dynasty's fortunes and accomplish the great deeds of a mighty ruler.
