When an alien insect swarm invades, his homeland is destroyed and his father dies. Ji Chen leaves Blue Star and joins the Ninth Division. From repairing retired mechas and modifying experimental units to piloting mechas to reinforce the front lines, he continues to work miracles. Eventually, Ji Chen takes charge of the long-sealed massive battleship, Tian Shu. Overcoming technical challenges and authorization barriers, he brings the dormant warship back into service. Using its main bow cannon in conjunction with the Planetary Guardian Array, he seals the spatial rift and stops the insect swarm.
