The ancient town of Tangqiao has fallen into disrepair, and rumors of tearing down the bridge affect the livelihoods of merchants along the bank. A returning builder and a dyeing mill owner who is fiercely protective of the bridge go from being guarded and opposed to joining hands sincerely. Following the elders' memories, they search for the forgotten old water gate, convince everyone with measured data, and awaken the ancestors' water-management wisdom. The villagers pull together to clear the old waterways and reinforce the bridge foundation, finally bringing peace to the spring waters and renewing the ancient bridge. The two also pledge their love at the bridgehead through shoulder-to-shoulder responsibility. Treating one another with sincerity can turn differences into a joint force; respecting facts and passing down wisdom are the only ways to safeguard our shared homeland.
