"Scholar Leaving the Mountain: Fireworks Have Liqueur" is a film and television drama that takes historical time-travel as its shell, but actually explores cultural heritage, human choices, and identity. Set against the historical backdrop of the Defense of Tanzhou in the late Southern Song Dynasty, the story connects the fiery Tanzhou of the first year of Deyou (1275)—seven hundred and fifty years apart—with Liling, Hunan in 2025 through the accidental time-travel of scholar Song Zeli. By means of Liling local cultural symbols such as underglaze five-color ceramics, intangible cultural heritage fireworks, and Wujia medical arts, it showcases the survival state and possibilities of innovation of traditional techniques in contemporary times, integrating cultural roots with the collision and fusion of ancient and modern values.
