It tells how Xu Meijuan, despising poverty and craving wealth, forced her younger sister Xu Zhixia to marry the poor man Lu Changqing in her place. After marriage, the three medicine mountains secretly cultivated by Changqing yielded a bumper harvest, and the Lu family suddenly became immensely rich. Meijuan turned green with regret, attempting to snatch back the original marriage contract, only to be sternly rejected by Changqing. Meanwhile, Zhixia transformed into an independent and capable boss lady through mutual support, and the couple finally joined hands to lead the entire village in growing medicinal herbs to achieve prosperity.
