Lin Siluo was saved from a car accident by his teacher, who sacrificed his own life to save him. His teacher's dying wish was for Lin Siluo to marry his daughter, Zheng Xuege, and take care of her. Lin Siluo agreed and devoted himself to fulfilling that promise. After getting together with Zheng Xuege, Lin Siluo gave up his dream of developing aerospace technology and became a full-time househusband, never imagining that this would make Zheng Xuege look down on him even more. Everything changed when Zheng Xuege's former love, Pei Yunian, returned from abroad. Due to problems with his house, Pei Yunian temporarily moved into Lin Siluo's home. After enduring one hurt after another, Lin Siluo finally decided to walk away from the mother and daughter and reclaim his own life.
