Tang Zhijin, a single mother from Northeast China, arrives in Jiangcheng with her four-year-old daughter, Tang Nuonuo, to make a living. By chance, she finds her way into Baiweilou, a century-old restaurant. With their cooking skills, sincerity, and a little good luck, the mother and daughter bring the restaurant back to prosperity. They also help the Lu family, who have been estranged for years, overcome their chaotic everyday squabbles, gather around the same dining table again, and rediscover the true meaning of home and the warmth of family life.
