The sharp-tongued Crown Prince Li Che scolded six censors to tears in a single day. Furious, the Emperor ordered him to marry Shen Yu, the mute legitimate daughter of the Shen family, as Crown Prince Consort, hoping to use her to block the crown prince's sharp mouth. After entering the palace, although Shen Yu cannot speak, she stood firm with calm ruthlessness through written exchanges. She reorganized the Eastern Palace, cracked the secret scrolls left by the late Empress, shattered the repeated framed-up plots by the Empress and the secondary consort, and successfully managed the Empress Dowager's birthday banquet. Facing the crisis of her family being framed, she fought back side by side with Li Che and ferreted out the mastermind behind the murder of the late Empress. Having weathered severe storms in the court and harem, Shen Yu finally recovered her voice and kept company with Li Che for life.
