One expert after another comes seeking revenge, only to have their conflicts calmly settled through his cooking and ingenious ideas. When his old acquaintance, Peach Blossom Sword, appears and his formidable enemy of a ten-year pact, Nine-Lives Yama, arrives as promised, the entire town begs Lin Sandao to stay. In the final showdown, he abandons his long sword and defeats his opponent using nothing but his noodle-cutting knife, then invites him to stay and work at the shop. As his old sword becomes part of the kitchen stove, the grudges of the martial world dissolve into the warmth of everyday life.
