Originally, Nuonuo was a little loach struggling to survive alone in the cracks between rocks in Wushui Bay. By a twist of fate, she sneaks into the Dragon Palace among the tribute offerings. In a moment of panic, she cries out "Mother," and the Dragon Queen, Canglan, takes her in as a princess. From a timid, shy little demon who is afraid of strangers to awakening the power of the Mystic Dragon's Water Shadow, she faces doubts and rejection from her clan, while her older brothers and sisters protect her as she gradually uncovers the mystery of her origins. This tiny loach hides tremendous power within her, and in the underwater Dragon Palace, she finally finds the family love and sense of belonging she has never known.
