In his past life, addicted to alcohol and heavy gambling, Xu Cheng'an destroyed his own family with his own hands. Opening his eyes once more, he unexpectedly returns to a snowy village in the Northeast during the 1980s. His wife Shen Yuelan's heart has turned to cold ashes, his daughter Xiao Xing hides the moment she sees him, and even a full meal at home has become a distant luxury. To make up for his past debts, he resolves to quit drinking and gambling. Relying on memories from his past life and hunting skills, he steps into the snowy forest, breaks the ice to catch fish, and starts from a single hot meal and a small deed to prop up this family once again. Yet fierce beasts in the deep mountains and the doubts of villagers come one after another. Can this prodigal son, once spurned by everyone, rely on his own hands to defy fate and make his wife and daughter believe in him once more?
