Lin Feng, a young fisherman from Dongwan Village, is betrayed after his father's death when his uncle, Lin Daqiang, and his cousin push him into the deep sea during a storm. He accidentally enters the Dragon Palace of the Eastern Sea and, thanks to his true dragon bloodline, unseals the Sea-Calming Divine Needle and learns supernatural arts to control water and summon thunder. Armed with the divine staff, he gathers precious seafood and rises to become the king of seafood, partnering with hotel owner Shen Qinglan. Enraged by his success, his enemies join forces with pirates to take revenge, but they are eventually arrested by the public security team. At the end of Season One, Lin Feng leads his fleet toward the Seven-Star Islands in the South Sea, which open once every ten years.
